Your audio is never saved by default
Audio is converted to text in real time and deleted after transcription by default. If you enable Save Audio, your recordings are securely stored until you delete them.
Since no audio or speaker labels are saved by default, there’s no way to trace anything back to a specific voice or person.
Your conversations remain as private notes for you, not as recordings.
Optional: Toggle save audio on to replay it and identify speakers You can toggle save audio on in settings. This lets you replay audio and identify speakers. If you opt in, audio is securely encrypted and stored until you delete it. It may be anonymously used to improve our models.

Your notes are stored entirely on your device. They never touch our servers.
The tradeoff: your notes live only on this device. Delete the app, reset your phone, or lose it, and the notes go with it. We can’t recover what we never had.
Note: On device / local storage with cloud backup off is only available in iOS.

A note on transcripts and attribution
Because audio is deleted by default and no speaker labels are attached, the transcript alone can’t prove who said what.
If you need attributed transcripts, turn on save audio and identify speakers.
A note on recording laws
TwinMind is built to protect your privacy, but it’s your responsibility to follow the recording and consent laws where you are.
Many places require all parties to consent before a conversation is recorded. If you’re unsure, consult a legal professional.
